The only Indian judoka to qualify for the upcoming London Olympics, Garima Chaudhary will represent the country in the 63kg category in the London Games. The 22-year old is currently ranked at 94 in the 63kg category in the International Judo Federation (IJF) list and is the only Indian to grace the coveted list.

Hailing from Meerut, UP, Chaudhary was selected for the Junior Asian Championships at 14 years of age and participated in the Commonwealth Judo Championships in 2004. A consistent top performer at the national level, Chaudhary has won a gold in 2007 Junior Asian Championships, followed by a silver and a bronze in 2008 and 2009 respectively. She has also bagged gold in 2006 South Asian Games and a bronze in 2009 Martial Art Games. This year she won bronze in senior national championships
